"A Story About Healing"

An Amazon reader has some positive words:
Toluidine Blue by Evelyne Keating and Roxanne Shoenfeld is a gritty and realistic portrait of the work of forensic nurses in contemporary Baltimore, Maryland. Two ordinary young women face horrendous crimes, and shattered victims, with extraordinary compassion, care, and courage as they help provide evidence for the conviction of sex offenders and serial abusers. Addie and Rachel must take on human traffickers, mental patients, serial rapists, kidnappers, and one mysterious stalker as they work hard to excel at their medical profession. Meanwhile there are the romantic up and downs of young women in the city. The descriptions of the various crimes would make the story pure tragedy if it were not for the genuine determination of the forensic nurse examiners to assist the victims in finding healing and justice. In fact, on many levels, it is a story about healing, both emotional and physical. and therefore one of tremendous hope. While staring unflinchingly at the evil in the world, the authors also exult in the beauty of life as they take on the drama, heartbreak, and dangers of modern urban existence. It is hard not to be both moved and inspired. Anyone who enjoys mysteries, detective novels and true crime stories will enjoy the unique tale involving the latest forensic and crime-solving techniques. Highly recommended.
