Songs from the Novel: "Skylark"

"Gatchell’s was one of Addie’s favorite bars to have a drink and unwind.  She was enchanted by the 1920’s architecture and the art deco moulding surrounding every doorway and fireplace. Black marble surrounds a fireplace, highlighting a white ornate mantle. White marble floors accentuated an art deco rosewood bar, which is where Addie and Frank sat. A grand brass chandelier floated above the patrons, illuminating enough to enhance one’s good features. Once inside the bar, she removed her coat, exposing a crisp white t-shirt, and jeans. Over the intercom wafted the voice of Ella Fitzgerald crooning 'Skylark.'
Skylark, have you anything to say to me,
Won't you tell me where my love can be?" ~from "Chapter Seven: Who Has Time For Gatchell's?", Toluidine Blue
